Concept development and design for 42 stacked mansions with garden in the middle of the city.
Rotterdam Optimism is a robust tower that houses 42 luxury mansions with large gardens, in the middle of the city. It combines two much requested living qualities, living in the inner city and a high-quality private outdoor space. The gigantic cantilevered balconies, which accommodate gardens of up to 150 m2, radiate something optimistic. The same optimism that can be found in the construction works that were set up during the Rotterdam reconstruction.
Especially those in the port area, such as the Meneba factory at Katendrecht. These are also down-to-earth, powerful buildings that radiate faith in the future. Buildings with character that evoke a reaction that you either find beautiful or ugly. There is no such thing as a middle way.
